You personally:
- Reduce car usage by walking, cycling or using public transport
- Switch to 100 percent green power
- Minimise your air travel
- Support carbon-offset schemes
In your community:
- Become active in a climate change campaign
- Talk to your workplace management about reducing workplace emissions
- Lobby your elected officials to act on climate change
- Talk to your friends, family and neighbours about climate change and simple ways to reduce emissions
Call on the Australian Government to:
- Boost the aid budget to ensure an integrated response to poverty eradication, climate change mitigation and adaptation
- Set targets of a 30 percent reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2020 (on 1990 levels) and an 80 percent cut by 2050
- Undertake an urgent review into the cost of funding climate change adaptation in developing countries (similar to the Stern Review)
