India Floods
Oxfam is responding to one of the worst flood disasters in Bihar, India, which has affected more than 2.7 million people. At least 100,000 people remain stranded, and more than 250,000 homes have been washed away.
China earthquake
On 12 May 2008, a devastating earthquake hit Sichuan province in China. Three months on, Oxfam continues to support thousands of people in Sichuan, Gansu and Shaanxi provinces affected by the disaster.
Myanmar (Burma) cyclone
An estimated 2.4 million people were affected by Cyclone Nargis which hit Myanmar in the early hours of 3 May. Over the past three months, Oxfam has provided support to more than 250,000 people.
Sudan Appeal
The crisis in Sudan's Darfur region is entering its fifth year and the level of suffering continues on an almost unimaginable scale. We are helping more than half a million people affected by the crisis in Darfur and Chad.
